Young's Iron Works Inc.

Young's Iron Works was founded in 1950 by James Young. Jim's wife Ruth started working as the CFO in 1967.  James was acting president until 1983 when he passed away.  The "Shop" was located on Victory Blvd in Burbank, CA. until 1976 when, due to zoning laws, it was moved to Sun Valley, CA the current location. Jim's step son Thomas Tucker joined the crew in 1964 part time in the shop. Jim made sure he received no special treatment from the other employees. Tom learned welding and layout in the shop and occasionally worked in the field installing jobs. In 1974 he was promoted to work in the office as a Detailer. He served in many other positions in the office such as Shop Manager, Estimator, and Field Manager. In 1986 Tom became the acting President of Young's Iron Works. In 1999 his wife Claudia joined the team as CFO taking over Ruth's position. In 2013 Claudia became the acting President of Young's Iron Works. Tom still does some detailing and estimating and helps out when needed.
